(NLDO) - These are outstanding individuals, representing more than 15,000 union members and youth of agencies and units in the entire Border Guard force.
On March 18, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Border Guard (BĐBP) organized a ceremony to honor "Outstanding Young Faces" and "Promising Young Faces" in 2024 to honor typical young people with outstanding achievements in various fields of activities of the BĐBP force.
Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of the Border Guard; Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Vietnam Student Association.
Border Guards honor 20 "Outstanding Young Faces" and "Promising Young Faces" in 2024
In his speech, Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan said he was very proud of the efforts of the young generation of Border Guards, and at the same time asked the Border Guards to continue to promote their role and responsibility, and fulfill the noble tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.
At the program, the Border Guard honored 20 outstanding and promising young faces. These are outstanding individuals, representing more than 15,000 union members and youths from agencies and units in the entire force. They are inspirational examples, motivating and aspirant to contribute to the Border Guard youth.
A typical example is Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tuan Anh, Head of Ben Got Border Control Station (Cat Hai Border Station, Hai Phong). He and his teammates participated in timely rescue operations in accidents and natural disasters at sea, especially saving the lives of 5 sailors during the recent Typhoon Yagi.
Besides, he is also the "innovative tree" of the unit when he successfully researched the model of a hand-cranked gong combined with a flashlight, helping soldiers easily observe, practice, and improve training quality.
On the same morning, the young and promising faces of the Border Guard offered flowers to report their achievements at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, visited Nha Rong Wharf, President Ho Chi Minh Museum and Independence Palace; met, exchanged and shared many valuable experiences in the fields of work, study and training.
