Taking place from April 16 to 20, the second stage of the Vietnam Pickleball Open Cup by Pharmacity (VPC) 2025 (Saigon Stage) has ended and the champions have been determined. Two former tennis stars Do Minh Quan - Truong Vinh Hien are the pair that stepped onto the podium of glory, in the most prestigious event of the tournament - pro men's doubles. It is known that Do Minh Quan used to be a "monument" of the domestic tennis village, having won the men's singles championship of Vietnamese tennis 10 times. Meanwhile, Vinh Hien is also a young tennis player with great potential in Vietnam, before switching to playing professional pickleball.

VPC 2025 has a total prize value of up to 500 million VND, attracted hundreds of domestic and international athletes to register to participate. Among them, the name Jack Wong stands out - the current champion of the Australian PPA tournament. Jack Wong is one of the leading tennis players in the Asia - Pacific region.
Besides Jack Wong, VPC 2025 also brings together many notable names such as Do Minh Quan - Truong Vinh Hien (champion of pro men's doubles); Sophia Huynh Tran Ngoc Nhi - a promising female talent of Vietnamese pickleball (runner-up of pro women's doubles); and international players such as Connie Lee (USA, won the title of runner-up of pro mixed doubles and third place of pro women's doubles; Vanshik Kapadia (India, won the title of second place of pro men's doubles and third place of pro mixed doubles).

The team competition category of VPC 2025 has contributed to increasing the excitement of the tournament, helping Vietnamese pickleball approach the international model. Four outstanding teams including D-Joy, HitPark, People's Police Pickleball Club and Baby Shark have contributed to exciting matches, clearly demonstrating team spirit and diverse tactics. With stable performance and cohesive play, the D-Joy team excellently won the final victory.
The next location of VPC 2025 is Da Nang City.
It is expected that Da Nang City will be the venue for the next leg, in August 2025. Not only stopping at sports matches, each stop of the tournament also aims to build a sports culture, develop the pickleball player community, and create a foundation for the birth of professional tournaments in the future.
