Up to now, the whole Binh Minh commune has built a new house for a war invalid family in Kinh Te hamlet, with an area of 67.6 m2 , total cost of over 200 million VND; repaired 7 dilapidated houses, total cost of over 400 million VND. The local Youth Union has participated in supporting tasks such as: dismantling, transporting bricks, stones, cement, transporting furniture, cleaning...
Ms. Le Thi Diep (living in Kinh Te hamlet) is the daughter of a martyr. She shared: "My family received support to repair the house under the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" and was enthusiastically supported by the Youth Union members in the commune."
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, a resistance activist who was exposed to Agent Orange (residing in Binh Trung hamlet) expressed: “The dilapidated houses that have been repaired not only bring a prosperous life to people in difficult circumstances, but also contain warm and sharing feelings. This is also a testament to the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, mutual support, and volunteering for the community of the youth in the commune.”
Mr. Vu Le Huy - Deputy Secretary of Binh Minh Commune Youth Union shared that this is not only a meaningful activity but also an opportunity for young people to demonstrate their sense of responsibility, bringing practical values to the people.
Ms. Pham Thi Hong Thuong - Secretary of Binh Minh Commune Youth Union said: "As part of the Youth Month activities, the Commune Youth Union has directed its grassroots and affiliated youth unions to participate in volunteer activities to join hands in "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in the area.
