Youth light candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs of Dien Bien

Delegates, officials, union members and youth visited A1 Martyrs Cemetery.

The candle lighting program to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs was attended by leaders of provincial departments and branches; key officials of the Central Business Bloc Youth Union; veterans who are soldiers of Dien Bien and more than 200 officials, soldiers, union members and young people representing the youth of all ethnic groups in the province. Along with Cemetery A1, at the Martyrs' Cemetery Him Lam, Doc Lap and Tong Khao, the youth union members offered incense and lit thousands of candles on each grave. The youth union members participating in the program offered incense and lit candles on each martyrs' grave. The shimmering, shining candles engrave the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude" of today's generation to the generation of fathers and grandfathers who sacrificed for the independence of the Fatherland.

Youth Union members burn incense on each grave to show gratitude and respect to the heroic martyrs.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates and members offered flowers and lit candles, expressing deep gratitude for the contributions and selfless sacrifices of the heroic martyrs who spared no blood for national independence.

Youth Union of Central Enterprises Bloc presented a plaque to support 1.18 billion VND to build houses for poor households in Dien Bien.

Also in the program, responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to support the construction of solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province, the youth of the Central Enterprises Bloc donated 1.187 billion VND to support the construction of houses for ethnic minorities in Dien Bien; presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers and gave bicycles to students from policy families.

This is one of the activities to honor families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions in Dien Bien organized by the Central Business Bloc Youth Union in coordination with Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union. The activity shows the deep gratitude of today's youth for the dedication and contributions of previous generations to the cause of national liberation and unification. Through these activities, it contributesto educating revolutionary traditions, patriotism, raising awareness and responsibility of young people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period.
