From April 18-20, 2025, at the Central Security Department of the Southern Region (Tan Lap Commune, Tan Bien District), the youth of Division 5, Military Region 7 representing the Army Youth Union participated in a camp with the theme "Youth for National Security" in the Southern region. This activity was organized by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
The youth delegation of Division 5 participated with 20 campers. The unit organized a traditional camp space with the theme "Youth of the army united, dynamic, creative, proactive, determined to protect the security of the Fatherland". Along with nearly 1,000 campers were exemplary cadres and youth union members representing the youth of 32 provinces and cities in the Southern region; 4 units under the Ministry of Public Security and guest units.
Within the framework of the camp, the campers of Division 5 actively participated in a series of activities such as: journey to the source, political activities, visiting historical and cultural relics in Tay Ninh province; exhibition of works, models, and images of the traditional history of the People's Public Security (CAND), about young volunteers protecting national security; commending advanced youth following Uncle Ho's teachings in the entire CAND force, period 2023-2025 and commending outstanding collectives and youth union members in the movement "All people protect national security", period 2020-2025.
In particular, the campers felt proud to participate in meaningful programs such as "Lighting up the dream of reform", "Youth Culture and Sports Festival", "Youth Moments" photo contest; inauguration of the "Youth Flower Garden" project at the Central Security Department of the Southern Region; supporting the construction of the 19.8 House in response to the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Prime Minister; implementing the "Going to School with You" project, giving gifts and scholarships to students in difficult circumstances...
The “Youth for National Security” camp is a broad political activity, creating a useful playground for members and youth of Division 5 to exchange, learn experiences, raise awareness of the task of protecting national security; thereby demonstrating the spirit of vanguard, volunteering, participating in community activities, practicing skills, bravery, and qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in the new era.
