Ha Tinh youth pioneers in bringing digital transformation into life

More than 1,000 Ha Tinh youth union members were equipped with basic knowledge of digital transformation by the Department of Information and Communications with the expectation of promoting youth strength to deeply penetrate and spread the acquired content into social life.

Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union has just coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications to organize a training course to improve digital transformation capacity for nearly 200 youth union members and digital transformation groups in the community in Ky Anh town.

At the training session, youth union members were instructed on skills in supporting digital transformation at the local level. At the same time, knowledge on non-cash payments, QR code payments and the use of e-commerce platforms was disseminated; instructions on using online public services when handling administrative procedures were provided.

Mr. Tran Duc Cuong - Deputy Secretary of Ky Anh Town Youth Union said: "The members participating in the training are all core forces in community digital transformation teams in communes, wards and agencies and units located in the area, so when fully equipped with skills and knowledge, they will contribute to supporting and guiding people and businesses to effectively approach digital transformation".

It is known that in addition to Ky Anh town, recently, the Provincial Youth Union has also coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications to organize training to improve digital transformation capacity for youth union members and community digital transformation groups in the districts of Thach Ha, Can Loc and Nghi Xuan with the participation of over 800 youth union members.

In addition to providing knowledge, after each training session, the Department of Information and Communications also conducts tests to assess the level of digital transformation understanding of trainees, thereby proposing timely remedial methods.

Training to improve digital transformation capacity for youth union members is one of the contents in the cooperation program on promoting digital transformation implementation between the Department of Information and Communications and Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union for the period 2022-2026.

In addition, the two units also coordinate to support and improve the capacity and efficiency of community digital transformation teams at the commune and village levels; coordinate with digital technology enterprises to promote and support local people and youth in digital transformation in production, business and start-up activities through digital platforms.

Coordinate to promote cashless payments in the community through registration and use of mobile money services and cashless payment platforms; implement support plans, bring agricultural production households to e-commerce platforms, promote the development of digital economy in agriculture and rural areas; coordinate to promote the use of online public services through models of youth volunteer groups supporting the implementation of online public services...

Ha Tinh youth are making efforts to effectively participate in promoting digital transformation.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Hoai Nam said: “Currently, people's awareness of transformation is not high, knowledge and skills in using IT are still limited, affecting the process of promoting digital transformation. Therefore, coordinating with the Department of Information and Communications to organize training courses on digital capacity and digital skills for youth union members in localities is an essential requirement to improve understanding and awareness in implementing digital transformation for each union member. More importantly, after being equipped with knowledge, each youth union member will be a pioneer in spreading digital platforms, digital technology, and digital skills to people and businesses...”.

According to the plan, from now until the end of the year, Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union and the Department of Information and Communications will continue to closely coordinate to organize programs to improve digital capacity and digital skills for youth union members and community digital transformation teams in the remaining districts, cities and towns. This is one of the solutions to improve the level of digital transformation and thereby improve and enhance the province's Digital Transformation Index in 2023.

In 2022, Ha Tinh's Digital Transformation Index (DTI) increased by 22 places compared to 2021, rising to 37th out of 63 provinces and cities.

Based on the results of building e-government and promoting the application of IT, Ha Tinh has carried out comprehensive digital transformation with high determination, a specific roadmap, clear goals, clear assignment of people, tasks, and responsibilities, regular counting, timely urging, and synchronous implementation of the Government's digital transformation tasks. Over the years, Ha Tinh's digital transformation has had strong changes in the ranking of the country's digital transformation level.
