Gia Lai Culture - Tourism Week 2023: Promoting outstanding and unique values imbued with the cultural colors of the Central Highlands

Gia Lai Culture - Tourism Week 2023 is organized on a large scale, elaborately with a series of events featuring indigenous culture in Gia Lai plateau.

On the evening of November 11, the opening ceremony of Gia Lai Culture - Tourism Week 2023 with the theme "Gia Lai - Cultural Colors" and the 2023 Gia Lai Central Highlands Gong Performance Festival took place at Dai Doan Ket Square, Pleiku city.

With the theme “Gia Lai – Cultural Colors”, the program is filled with the sounds of the Central Highlands. Along with that, the program also recreates epic poems, epics, and Central Highlands folk songs associated with gods and heroes that have been admired by people for generations.

Gia Lai Culture - Tourism Week 2023 is organized on a large scale, elaborately with a series of events featuring indigenous culture in Gia Lai plateau. The highlight of the ceremony is receiving the Certificate of ranking as a special national monument of Roc Tung - Go Da and announcing the National Treasure of the collection of An Khe early stone tools.

The highlight of the festival is the 2023 Gia Lai Gong Festival with the participation of nearly 1,000 artisans from Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Dak Nong provinces and districts, towns and cities of Gia Lai province. In addition, localities also organize many response activities, including: Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano (Chu Pah district), Dugout canoe racing festival on Po Co river (Ia Grai district), "Gia Lai city trail 2023 - Dream of the great forest" running race.

This is an opportunity for Gia Lai and the Central Highlands provinces to introduce and promote outstanding, unique and attractive values of culture and tourism resources; an opportunity to introduce and promote the potential, strengths, and policies to attract investment in Gia Lai and the Central Highlands region, and at the same time continue to promote the province's typical products and OCOP products formed through the process of building new rural areas, economic development and international integration.
