Working Week 3, Session 8, National Assembly XV

The third working week of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly (from November 4 to 9) will feature many important contents, focusing on legislation and supervision.

The National Assembly spent the entire second working day (November 4) discussing in the hall: Assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2024; projected socio-economic development plan for 2025; implementation of the Constitution, laws, resolutions of the National Assembly, ordinances, resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee; policy on adjusting the National Land Use Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; policy on additional investment of state capital at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (VCB). The meeting was televised and broadcast live for voters and people to follow.

In the morning session on November 5, the National Assembly also spent most of its time discussing in the hall the implementation of the state budget in 2024, the state budget estimate, the central budget allocation plan for 2025 (including the 3-year state budget-finance plan 2025 - 2027; the implementation of the state budget public investment plan in 2024, the expected state budget public investment plan in 2025; the implementation of the 2024 financial plan, the expected 2025 financial plan of the state financial funds outside the budget managed by the central government); some contents on adjusting and supplementing the state budget estimate.

During the working week, the National Assembly discussed the following Law projects: Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army; Law on Geology and Minerals; Law on Public Investment (amended); Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Planning, the Law on Investment, the Law on Investment under the public-private partnership model and the Law on Bidding; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Securities, the Law on Accounting, the Law on Independent Auditing, the Law on State Budget, the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, the Law on Tax Administration and the Law on National Reserves; Law on Electricity (amended); Law on Teachers; Law on Employment (amended); Law on Data.

The National Assembly also discussed: Investment policy for the National Target Program on Drug Prevention and Control until 2030; draft Resolution of the National Assembly on specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles for projects and land in inspection, examination and judgment conclusions in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City and Khanh Hoa Province; draft Resolution on piloting the handling of evidence and assets during the investigation, prosecution and trial of a number of criminal cases.

According to the program, the National Assembly listened to the Presentation and Verification Report on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising.
