With the participation of about 50 businesses and units, the products displayed at the week are fruits, seasonal agricultural products, OCOP products, and regional specialties.
Bringing to the week many specialties of Son La province such as Seng Cu rice, sticky rice, cat cabbage, etc., Ms. Nguyen Thi Sen - Deputy Director of Hung Thinh Cooperative - shared: "We represent the province and regularly participate in Hanoi's programs, so we understand the need for agricultural products and specialties of the people of the capital. Regarding fresh products, we bring organically grown vegetables, tubers and fruits in Moc Chau. Besides, there are processed products such as Seng Cu rice, sticky rice, specialty brown rice, smoked buffalo meat, dried plums, etc. Along with that are other agricultural products such as bamboo shoots, vermicelli, wood ear mushrooms, etc. These are products made according to VietGAP processes or naturally sun-dried by local people".
Regularly participating in trade promotion programs, goods weeks, and fairs in Hanoi, according to Ms. Sen, Hung Thinh Cooperative currently has a large number of regular customers. At the end of this year, the demand for agricultural products and specialties increases, so retail sales are also better, besides that, orders from wholesale customers (those who buy in large quantities) are also starting to increase gradually. For wholesale customers, the selling price will be lower, depending on the order quantity. The Cooperative will export goods from the main warehouse in Son La. Participating in goods weeks and fairs like this is a way to help the Cooperative gain more new wholesale customers.
“Not only do we sell directly, we also film and post them on the cooperative's social media platforms such as Sen Hong Mart and Sen Hong Son La to promote our local specialties. At the same time, this is also a communication channel for the programs we participate in promoting in Hanoi as well as other localities, so that regular customers and consumers who want to experience the products can come, visit and shop,” Ms. Sen shared.
Similarly, Ms. Pham Thi Hong - representative of Khanh Dan Food Processing Trading Cooperative (Quang Ninh) - said that we participate in every week and fair held in Hanoi. The number of customers coming to the 2024 Fruit and Agricultural Products Week of provinces and cities is quite large. "Bringing many typical seafood products of Quang Ninh, of which Ha Long squid rolls are the best-selling", Ms. Pham Thi Hong shared and expected that there will be more customers coming to visit and shop as well as connecting with wholesale customers, customers who want to place an agency order, etc. The Cooperative is ready to cooperate.
When attending fairs, cooperatives and businesses choose the best, most beautiful and freshest products to bring down to promote and introduce. Highly appreciating the effectiveness of the weekly fairs, according to representatives of cooperatives and businesses, with the increase in the number of retail customers, in addition to earning profits from retail sales, this is an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to affirm, maintain and strengthen their brands with consumers.
