On March 12, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 50/KH-UBND to organize Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 with many special programs and activities.
Tourism Week is a unique annual tourism product of the province, and is also one of the activities in response to the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
The Provincial People's Committee organizes the Tourism Week to enhance propaganda, promotion and introduction of Ninh Binh's tourism products and services to domestic and international tourists, and at the same time affirm Ninh Binh as a unique, safe, friendly, quality and attractive destination; contributing to stimulating demand and attracting tourists in the low season.
This year, Ninh Binh Tourism Week has the theme "The Golden Color of Tam Coc - Trang An", expected to be held for 8 days, in late May or early June 2024 on a provincial scale.
During the Tourism Week, there will be many attractive and unique activities such as: Opening Ceremony of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024; organizing a walking street; organizing performances and displays of the province's OCOP products; performing and displaying traditional handicraft products; organizing Tam Coc Golden Season Photo Tour; organizing a survey program and introducing Ninh Binh tourism products (FAMTRIP, PRESSTRIP); art photo exhibition with the theme "Tam Coc Golden Season - Trang An"; cultural programs, mass art performances, water puppetry, Cheo singing, Xam singing, folk songs of the 3 regions.
In particular, a new feature of this year's Tourism Week will be the Goat Fighting Competition, with prizes between pairs of goats hosted by the Provincial Farmers' Association.
The Provincial People's Committee requested that Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 must ensure practicality and effectiveness; mobilize businesses and people to participate in events and contribute human resources and other material conditions to maximize savings on the State budget.
The content of the activities must aim to introduce and widely promote the unique cultural and historical features of the province; the potential and strengths of tourism resources, especially promoting the outstanding global values of the Trang An World Cultural and Natural Heritage, focusing on activities taking place in the Tam Coc - Bich Dong area.
Tourism Week activities must demonstrate the unique and distinctive culture of the locality; ensure efficiency, safety, savings, create good impressions and spread among the community, businesses and tourists; have close links with other event activities in the Plan to organize the 10th Anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
