On May 13th, the Da Nang City Youth Union and the Da Nang City Federation of Youth Associations, in coordination with the City's Labor Union and the City's Young Doctors Association, organized a program to provide free medical examinations, health consultations, medication, and gifts for workers in 2023.
The program provided free medical consultations, examinations, and medication, and distributed 300 gift packages worth 150 million VND and 10 evaporative coolers worth 30 million VND to 300 young workers in difficult circumstances working in factories and enterprises.
In addition, leaders of the City Labor Union and the Da Nang City Youth Union visited the workers' dormitories to distribute evaporative coolers to disadvantaged young workers residing in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City, in order to share and encourage them during this peak heatwave.
Many gifts were given away.
In addition, to ensure effective consultation and examination services, the City's Young Doctors Association mobilized more than 30 young doctors and medical professionals. Through these examinations, the doctors promptly detected cases of illness; provided timely treatment advice and support, minimizing the risk of prolonged impact on the functions and health of people recovering from Covid-19. The total funding for this program exceeded 200 million VND.
The program provides an opportunity for young people to affirm their pioneering role and responsibility through practical actions; to promote the role of trade unions and youth organizations in caring for, supporting, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of young workers; thereby creating conditions and motivation for young workers to ensure their health, maintain their confidence, and contribute to the successful implementation of political , labor, and production tasks in their localities and units, especially in the economic recovery and development of the city.
