The Intellectual Property (IP) Conference and sideline events in 2024 will become an important forum for the science and technology (S&T) sector to evaluate, summarize, and draw lessons from IP activities in localities, enterprises, research institutes, and universities nationwide.
Overview of the 2022 Annual IP Conference.
With the consent of the Minister of Science and Technology and the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee (HPC), the National Office of Intellectual Property in coordination with the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology organized the 2024 Intellectual Property Conference and side events in Hanoi from March 29-30, 2024.
This is an annual event organized by the National Office of Intellectual Property to summarize and evaluate the state management of intellectual property in 2023 and orient intellectual property activities in the coming time. The event has also become an important forum for the science and technology sector to evaluate, summarize, and draw lessons from intellectual property activities in localities, enterprises, research institutes, and universities nationwide.
Attending the Conference will be representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Hanoi People's Committee, a number of relevant ministries, branches, universities, research institutes, industrial property representative organizations and delegates from 63 Departments of Science and Technology nationwide.
The main contents to be discussed at the Conference include: assessing the results of implementing state management activities on intellectual property nationwide in 2023, orienting tasks for 2024; discussing and proposing solutions to resolve difficulties in intellectual property activities and initiatives at the central/local level; introducing some new regulations in Vietnam's intellectual property law, the situation of intellectual property activities in the world; reporting and discussing solutions to support the development of intellectual property in Vietnam, supporting the registration of intellectual property protection abroad, etc.
Within the framework of the Conference, a series of events will take place including: Exhibitions displaying and introducing typical local products and goods; surveying actual SHCN activities at some typical units of Hanoi City.
Leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat and leaders of Thua Thien Hue province visited the exhibition booths at the 2023 IP Conference.
