From tomorrow, March 25, the area around Han market will pilot a one-way traffic plan on Hung Vuong Street and Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, from Tran Phu Street to Bach Dang Street, Hai Chau District.

The pilot period lasts for 1 week (until March 31) to serve research, survey, and find optimal solutions to ensure smooth traffic flow on 4 frontage roads of Han market and surrounding areas.

Specifically, the pilot period of the one-way traffic organization plan on Hung Vuong Street and Nguyen Thai Hoc Street is during two peak hours from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 16:30 to 18:00.

From March 25, all 4 roads around Han market will have one-way traffic: Tran Phu, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Bach Dang, Hung Vuong.

Hung Vuong Street organizes one-way traffic from Bach Dang Street to Tran Phu Street; Nguyen Thai Hoc Street organizes one-way traffic from Tran Phu Street to Bach Dang Street.

Currently, this area has 2 one-way traffic routes: Bach Dang and Tran Phu.

During the pilot period, Da Nang City Police will temporarily not penalize violating vehicles but will increase their forces to guide, propagate and regulate traffic.

After the pilot period, Da Nang City Police coordinated with Hai Chau District People's Committee to assess the actual traffic situation, traffic volume, and density and conclude on the feasibility of the plan.

Hai Chau District People's Committee added that from April 1 to 30, local authorities will launch a peak period of urban order on the roads near Han market.

In particular, Hai Chau District Police took the lead in handling cases of violations of urban order, encroachment on roads and sidewalks, and suppressing cases of obstruction and resistance against law enforcement officers.

Regarding the situation of using sidewalks for business and parking motorbikes on the street, Hai Chau District People's Committee redraws the boundary line between the market and public traffic sidewalk.

Accordingly, 100% of public sidewalks around Han market (Hung Vuong, Tran Phu, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Bach Dang streets) are for pedestrians, no motorbikes are left on the sidewalk (remove existing lines).

Market management board, traders, residents and tourists… temporarily park their motorbikes at the land lot 3-5 Nguyen Thai Hoc.
