From passion for sewing and fashion design to outstanding young female teacher nationwide

(Dan Tri) - Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc in Nghe An is one of the outstanding teachers nationwide. She came to the teaching profession because of her passion for sewing and fashion design.

Excellent students stay in school

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc (born in 1990, from Tru Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province) is currently a sewing and fashion design teacher at Nghe An College of Economics - Industry - Handicrafts. In 2021, Ms. Ngoc was an excellent teacher of the school, a national excellent teacher. This year, Ms. Ngoc is honored to become a national outstanding teacher. The young teacher's fate with the profession began with her passion for sewing and fashion design since childhood. She never thought she would become a teacher, standing on the podium imparting knowledge to students. It was like a dream for her.

"I have a passion for sewing and fashion design, so I looked for a suitable school to pursue my dream. So I went to Nghe An College of Economics - Industry - Handicrafts to register to study sewing and fashion design. At that time, I only thought that after finishing school, I would have a profession and a stable job to take care of my family. Being retained by the school now gives me the opportunity to convey my passion to many generations of students," Ms. Ngoc shared. While studying, Ms. Ngoc showed her outstanding talent when she was always one of the best students in the sewing and fashion design major of the school. Each seam and each design of her student always made the teachers admire. For many years, Ngoc was an excellent student at the provincial level and a national excellent student. Ngoc graduated from sewing and fashion design with the maximum score.

At that time, the Board of Directors of Nghe An College of Economics - Industry - Handicrafts persuaded the student to stay at school and sent her to further study to become a teacher. "I always try my best to do the job that I am passionate about, then I will definitely achieve success. For me, that is a huge change. I also try my best to not disappoint the trust of the school's board of directors. And especially my responsibility to the students", Ms. Ngoc shared more. After finishing the course, Ms. Ngoc returned to school as a teacher of sewing and fashion design. In the first days standing on the podium, Ms. Ngoc was very confused and worried. Each lecture was carefully prepared by the young teacher, so that students could understand as quickly and grasp as possible.

With the characteristics of students in remote areas, leaving their villages for the first time, life is still full of surprises, many of them cannot even communicate well in Kinh language, so the learning process is very difficult. Therefore, not only teaching vocational knowledge, Ms. Ngoc also helps students gradually get acquainted and adapt to life in the city. Each lesson is always researched and designed by Ms. Ngoc into the simplest formulas for students to absorb as quickly as possible. Ms. Ngoc also always encourages her students to express their creativity through competitions. With small rewards, the young teacher has cleverly aroused the students' passion.

Students majoring in sewing and fashion design at Nghe An College of Economics - Industry - Handicrafts graduate with high skills, so they are always welcomed by large companies. Many of Ms. Ngoc's students are now managers in large garment companies with ideal salaries. "Most of the school's students come from difficult circumstances. Therefore, we are very happy to teach them a trade, so that after graduating they can have jobs and good income. From there, they can help their families and take care of their own lives. That is the greatest happiness for me and all the teachers in the school," Ms. Ngoc confided.

Ask your husband to play the role of a student

In 2021, Ms. Ngoc was a national excellent teacher in sewing and fashion design. Ms. Ngoc's lectures were highly appreciated. However, the process of preparing lectures for the competition was also the time when the Covid-19 epidemic was most complicated. At that time, the entire city of Vinh, Nghe An was quarantined. Unable to go to class, unable to meet students, and having no one to practice teaching, Ms. Ngoc asked her husband to play the role of a student for her to teach. Through that, her husband gave very realistic assessments to help Ms. Ngoc improve her lectures to be more lively, attractive, and easy to understand.
