From this afternoon, gasoline price drops to below 19,000 VND/liter - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have just decided on the retail price of gasoline from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (April 17). Accordingly, the price of gasoline has decreased by more than 300 VND/liter, to below 19,000 VND/liter.

From 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, specific gasoline prices are as follows:

- E5RON92 gasoline: No higher than VND 18,498/liter (down VND 384/liter compared to current base price), lower than RON95-III gasoline by VND 358/liter;

- RON95-III gasoline: Not higher than VND 18,856/liter (down VND 351/liter compared to current base price);

- Diesel 0.05S: Not higher than VND 17,037/liter (down VND 206/liter compared to current base price);

- Kerosene: Not higher than VND 17,184/liter (down VND 229/liter compared to current base price);

- Mazut180CST 3.5S oil: Not higher than VND 15,960/kg (increase of VND 58/kg compared to current base price).

Thus, from the beginning of 2025 to now, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 16 adjustment sessions, including 7 decrease sessions, 6 increase sessions and 3 opposite sessions.

In this operating period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and fuel oil.

According to the joint ministries, the world oil market in this management period is affected by the following main factors: Fluctuations in US tax rates on goods of trading partners, increased oil production of OPEC+, the International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts that oil demand will grow slowly in 2025, the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues... The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate up and down in recent days depending on the product. The average price of finished oil products in the world is around 72-78 USD/barrel...
