T&T Group and JTA – Qatar’s leading international investment group have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in researching and developing the Disneyland multi-purpose sports complex and amusement park project with a total expected investment of up to 4.5 billion USD in Dong Anh district, Hanoi.
World-class stadium and the first Disneyland in Vietnam
On October 31, in the capital city of Doha, Qatar, leaders of T&T Group and leaders of JTA International Investment and Consulting Group (Qatar) had a meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to report on the investment research plan for the project of a multi-purpose sports complex meeting international standards and a theme park and entertainment park (following the Disneyland model) in Dong Anh, Hanoi.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed the project investment plan, in the context that Hanoi has a population of about 10 million but does not have a worthy, iconic sports complex. The Prime Minister hopes that the construction of this complex will contribute to meeting the needs of the people of the capital, but the operation needs to be effective with accompanying services to maintain long-term operations.
In the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, T&T Group and JTA Group signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in research and investment in the development of a multi-purpose sports complex meeting international standards and a theme park and an entertainment park (following the Disneyland model).
Accordingly, the project has a total area of 330 hectares, with a total investment of about 4.5 billion USD, with two main components: a sports complex and a theme park. In particular, research is being conducted to build an Olympic-standard sports complex with a total investment of about 1.3 billion USD, including international-standard sports facilities with the highlight being a modern and classy stadium. Research is being conducted to build a theme park and entertainment complex with a total investment of about 3.2 billion USD, including theme parks and entertainment areas following the world-famous Disneyland model. The project will become the largest Disneyland in Vietnam and a leading entertainment destination for people in the country and the region.
According to the signed agreement, JTA will be the main unit responsible for arranging finance and capital to implement the project.
T&T Group will work with JTA to propose consulting options, research ideas, plan, design, manage operations and complete legal procedures in accordance with Vietnamese and international laws.

According to Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group, the goal of cooperation between T&T Group and JTA is to research and develop a modern, world-class sports and entertainment complex following famous models that have been successfully implemented in the world. This complex will apply advanced, modern technologies; green technologies, meeting the standards for organizing Olympic-standard sports competitions, contributing to enhancing the position of the country and Vietnamese people in the region and internationally.
“The project not only promotes the sports industry, improves the cultural and social life of the people, but also opens up opportunities for economic and tourism development for Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general. At the same time, it contributes to creating a solid foundation for cooperation between Vietnam and Qatar in the fields of sports and infrastructure, making a positive contribution to the friendly relations between the two countries,” Mr. Do Vinh Quang affirmed.
