On May 31, images and information about the discovery of a newborn baby's body in a plastic bag, hanging from a tree in the middle of the street, spread on social networks.

On the evening of May 31, speaking with VietNamNet reporters, a leader of Thanh Xuan District Police (Hanoi) confirmed the above content and said that at around 1:00 a.m. the same day, people discovered a black plastic bag hanging on a tree trunk in front of house number 12 Nguyen Xien (Thanh Xuan District).

Upon receiving the information, the police quickly arrived at the scene and inspected the bag, discovering the body of a newborn baby, female.

According to the Thanh Xuan District Police, the mother had been pregnant for about 24 weeks before giving birth to a baby with all its organs intact. However, many related details are still being examined to clarify.

The leader of Thanh Xuan District Police also said: "After receiving the information, the unit sent all forces to search for the mother, but so far they have not found her."

Thanh Xuan District Police request that people who know more information related to the above body provide it to the police investigation agency at 58 Vu Trong Phung, for handling according to regulations.
