Truong Vinh Hien is one of the first athletes to lay the foundation for the development of the pickleball movement in Vietnam. He started out as a professional tennis player. Meanwhile, although he has only recently entered the pickleball scene, Hoang Nam is showing remarkable progress in his skills, quickly entering the top pickleball players. Therefore, the confrontation between the two most famous names in the pickleball world today has received a lot of attention.

However, the developments on the field were not as expected, when the men's singles final was one-sided. In the first set, Truong Vinh Hien showed his youthful vitality and strength, flexibility when creating difficult shots to pressure his opponent, ending the set with a score of 11-6. The score in the second set was even more shocking, the number 1 tennis player of Vietnam was completely passive and quickly lost with a score of 11-0. Winning the men's singles championship, Truong Vinh Hien won a prize of 100 million VND.

The OB Open Pickleball 2024 in Quang Ngai is considered a super pickleball tournament in Vietnam with a total prize of up to 1.1 billion VND, of which the professional men's doubles championship is up to 200 million VND. The tournament has the participation of top Vietnamese and world players such as Quang Duong, an 18-year-old Vietnamese-American player currently ranked 5th in the world, or Ly Hoang Nam, Le Quoc Khanh, Do Minh Quan, Trinh Linh Giang, players who have affirmed their names.
