Located in Hoan Kiem district - a central district of Hanoi City, after 30 years of formation and development (1993-2023), Binh Minh Primary School is a place to nurture and nurture many generations of "green shoots", firmly stepping on the path to success in the future.
In 1993, Binh Minh Primary School was established under Decision No. 2872/QD-UB, dated July 31, 1993 of the Hanoi People's Committee. After 30 years of operation, despite many difficulties and shortages, the school has still grown strong, opened its arms of love, welcomed more disadvantaged "green shoots", nurtured the future, and opened a new horizon for the children. Up to now, the school has contributed to educating disabled students and integrated students in the capital, achieved many achievements, and was honored to receive many certificates of merit from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Education and Training, the City People's Committee, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, and is also the place where parents place their trust and hope.
Binh Minh Primary School is a public specialized general education institution under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. The school is responsible for implementing a specialized education program for students with intellectual disabilities and implementing a general primary education program for students with normal development according to the provisions of law. School curriculum Inclusive Primary School: studying the 2018 General Education Program according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and implementing the inclusive education program for students with intellectual disabilities. Special Education: The school has proactively relied on the 2018 General Education Program to divide the content, reduce the goals to suit the students' abilities (developing an Individual Education Plan for each student), and at the same time divide the group of subjects with similar cognitive levels to implement teaching and learning. The organization and operation of inclusive education for students with disabilities in primary schools are implemented according to the provisions of the Law on Persons with Disabilities, documents guiding the implementation of the Law on Persons with Disabilities, the provisions of the Charter of Primary Schools and regulations on inclusive education for people with disabilities issued by the Minister of Education and Training. |
In the early years of its establishment, as the first public school to be financially autonomous and to organize boarding for students to study 2 sessions/day, the number of students without disabilities accounted for 80%. At that time, the school only accepted 30 students with intellectual disabilities into 3 classes for pilot teaching.
During the period 2005-2010, the number of students with intellectual disabilities began to fluctuate greatly in terms of enrollment, increasing rapidly each year. Since 2011, it has continued to increase rapidly due to the development of society, and parents' awareness of children with disabilities has also increased. Up to now, the number of children with disabilities going to school has increased, currently accounting for 80% of the school's students, including students studying in specialized classes in the Special Education section and some students are studying in integrated classes in the Primary School section.
In the 2023-2024 school year, the school has 17 classes with 311 students divided into 2 blocks according to the educational program: Integrated Primary Block and Special Education Block. The school's staff, teachers and employees are well-qualified, experienced, enthusiastic, dedicated to their profession, constantly improving their knowledge, striving to innovate teaching methods, impart knowledge, and care for students. |
Over the past 30 years:
- The school has 45 students winning prizes at the city level, 125 students winning prizes at the district level. Many students confidently participate in competitions such as: I am good at Math, Vietnamese, English, handwriting, drawing, swimming, sports... at the district and city levels. Students with disabilities have graduated from school, many of whom have integrated well into the community, can participate in jobs such as: making simple handicrafts; working as security guards at some centers; participating in clean vegetable production...
- The school is honored to be recognized as an Excellent Labor Collective for 28 years, 7 times receiving Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee and the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, 1 time receiving Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, 1 time receiving Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training. The Party Cell has been recognized as a strong and clean Party Cell for 28 years, the School's Trade Union is regularly recognized as an excellent and strong Trade Union.
