According to the Thanh Hoa Departmentof Education and Training, for the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, we will continue to innovate in the direction of improving the quality and effectiveness of the entrance exam for grade 10 at Lam Son High School for the Gifted, grade 10 high school, and ethnic boarding high school to meet the requirements of the 2018 general education program.

The Department of Education and Training will organize to collect comments and plans to advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve the plan to organize the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year with the following basic contents:

Organize the 10th grade entrance exam for Lam Son High School for the Gifted together with the 10th grade entrance exam for provincial high schools and ethnic boarding high schools (in previous years, this specialized school recruited 10th grade students with a separate exam).

Candidates taking the entrance exam for grade 10 high school and ethnic boarding high school will take three subjects: math, literature, and English.

Candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam at Lam Son High School for the Gifted, in addition to taking the entrance exam for grade 10 high school and boarding high school for ethnic minorities, will take an additional exam for specialized subjects.

In which, the specialized exam will include exams in the following subjects: math, literature, English, computer science, math (for computer science majors), natural science exam, and history and geography exam.

For the natural science, history and geography exam, the exam will have 10% for the general part of natural science, history and geography, 90% for the specialized subjects corresponding to each sub-subject of physics, chemistry, biology (for the natural science exam) and history, geography (for the history and geography exam).

In the 2025-2026 school year, Lam Son High School for the Gifted plans to recruit an additional Chinese language class for the 10th grade entrance exam; the specialized subject exam for this class will be in English.

The Department of Education and Training will issue an official dispatch regulating the structure of the 10th grade high school entrance exam to schools.

The entrance exam for grade 10 of Lam Son High School for the Gifted, grade 10 of high school, and boarding high school for ethnic minorities for the 2025-2026 school year will take place in June 2025.
