According to the school's announcement, Chu Van An High School organizes additional entrance exams for 4 specialized classes for the 2024-2025 school year.
Specifically, the school has 2 quotas for Biology, 3 quotas for Information Technology, 2 quotas for History and 6 quotas for English. All 13 quotas are for grade 11.
Candidates are students from specialized or non-specialized schools with good academic results and good training results in the 2023-2024 school year and have permanent residence in Hanoi.
To be eligible for admission, students applying for a specialized class must have an average score of 8.0 or higher at the end of the 10th grade for that subject.
Students will take a test of their registered specialized subject within 120 minutes for English and 150 minutes for the remaining subjects. The test content is in the 10th grade program.
The school will take scores from high to low until the quota is filled, but will not take below 7 points (on a 10-point scale).
Application deadline is 11:30 AM on August 23.
This year, Chu Van An High School enrolls 515 students in the specialized system for 10 specialized subjects. The highest standard score is for the specialized math class with 40 points, followed by the specialized physics class with 39 points. The specialized history class has the lowest standard score of 32.5 points.
However, in the announcement of additional benchmark scores, the school lowered the benchmark for math to 39 points and for physics to 37.75 points.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi continues to develop and complete the project to convert Chu Van An High School and Son Tay High School into specialized schools, bringing the total number of specialized schools in Hanoi to 4.
