AISVN International School will be suspended if it fails to resolve the issues.

In the report of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee sent to the Prime Minister on the operation of the American International School Vietnam (AISVN International School), it was stated that this school was established based on the proposal of the American International Education Joint Stock Company AIS, whose Chairman is Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut Em.

Ms. Ut Em has signed many contracts in the form of loans with some parents whose children are studying at the school with the following terms: Loans, no interest on the loan amount during the student's study period. When the student completes the program, the school will repay the loan amount within a certain period of time.

In light of the current controversy, according to the City Police, the contract signed between the school and parents is a civil contract, with no binding content regarding the responsibilities of the parties, so there is no basis for the authorities to investigate the case.

Regarding the direction and solution, according to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the city continues to direct relevant departments, branches and the People's Committees of districts, towns and Thu Duc City to support the education and training sector to stabilize public opinion. The city strictly manages the activities of the American International Education Joint Stock Company AIS because the company's activities have directly affected the activities and educational quality of AISVN school.

The forces will coordinate to monitor the school's operations, speed up the working progress with Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut Em to thoroughly resolve issues related to investment and organization of educational activities of the school; promptly handle arising incidents and report to the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee for direction.

AISVN International School has suspended enrollment in 2024 - 2025 until the investor resolves financial and personnel issues and stabilizes educational activities.

The school will be suspended if it does not resolve its current financial and personnel problems.

The Department of Finance, the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Home Affairs, and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs shall study and propose plans and solutions for salary payment to teachers and employees (including Vietnamese and foreign teachers and employees) working at the school to stabilize the school's operations until the end of the 2023-2024 school year.

The Department of Education and Training has implemented solutions to ensure students' learning rights and prevent their studies from being interrupted.

Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinate with localities to grasp the social situation to have appropriate handling plans; strictly manage issues related to the entry and exit of personnel who are investors and the AISVN School Council when resolving the case.

The Department of Education and Training directs public educational institutions and investors, foreign-invested schools, and schools organizing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program to accept students transferred from AISVN International School according to demand, creating conditions for students to quickly integrate and stabilize their studies.

According to the report of the City People's Committee, there are currently 7 educational institutions that have agreed to accept students from AISVN International School with a total number of students that can be accepted at 1,088.

7 schools agree to accept students from AISVN international school including: Australian International School, European International School, Ho Chi Minh City International School, English-speaking International School, British Vietnamese International School, North American School, American International School (TAS).

Authorities are implementing measures to ban Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut Em from leaving the country due to personal income tax debt.
