On August 2, Hanoi Medical University announced a resolution appointing Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung and Associate Professor, Dr. Ho Thi Kim Thanh, both born in 1974, as vice principals in charge of professional matters.

Mr. Le Dinh Tung is a doctor, Head of Physiology Department, Head of Training Management Department. Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thanh is a doctor, Head of Family Medicine Department, Chief of Party - Youth Union Office (Hanoi Medical University).
With the addition of 2 vice rectors, Hanoi Medical University now has 1 rector and 4 vice rectors.
According to Professor, Dr. Ta Thanh Van, Chairman of the School Council - Hanoi Medical University, with more than 1,000 staff, lecturers and employees, the school is allowed to have 4 vice principals but until now the school has only been able to complete this team.
"The four vice rectors are assigned to be in charge of the four most important areas of a university training in the health sector, including: clinical medicine, community medicine, basic medicine and finance," said Professor Van.
Through many different stages of development, the scale of Hanoi Medical University has been increasingly expanded. The school also always focuses on training high-quality human resources for the whole country.
Professor Ta Thanh Van hopes that the new staff will help the school complete its assigned tasks.
According to Professor Van, Hanoi Medical University is striving to be in the top 100 research-oriented health science universities in Asia and become a multidisciplinary health university. Having a board of directors like the present is a favorable condition to help the school complete its assigned tasks.
Previously, on August 1, Hanoi Medical University held a graduation ceremony for 331 bachelors of the 2020-2024 course, in 5 majors: nursing, medical laboratory technology, ophthalmology, public health, nutrition. On August 20, the school will continue to hold a graduation ceremony and award degrees to 772 doctors of the 2018-2024 course in 4 majors: Medicine, traditional medicine, preventive medicine, and dentistry. The rate of new doctors and medical bachelors in 2024 graduating with good and excellent grades is 60-80%.
