Ho Chi Minh City University of Law has just announced the tentative list of full-time students who will be forced to drop out of school and receive academic warnings due to poor academic results in the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year.
Specifically, this list includes 47 students expected to be forced to leave school due to having been given academic warnings for two consecutive semesters before.
Many full-time students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law are expected to be forced to drop out and receive academic warnings.
Of the 47 students expected to be forced to drop out, most have poor academic performance. Some students are expected to be forced to drop out because the total number of failed credits in the semester exceeds 50% of the registered credits in two consecutive semesters.
In addition, the school plans to issue academic warnings to 82 students for poor academic performance in the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year. The students were warned because their average score in the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year was below 1 or their cumulative average score was below 1.8 or the total number of failed credits in the semester exceeded 50% of the registered credits.
According to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, students are warned in four cases. First, the cumulative average score is below 1.2 for first-year students; below 1.4 for second-year students; below 1.6 for third-year students or below 1.8 for students in the following years and at the end of the course. Second, the average score for the semester is below 0.8 for the first semester of the course; below 1.0 for the following semesters. Third, students have a total of credits of courses with an F grade remaining from the beginning of the course to the time of consideration exceeding 24 credits. Fourth, students have a total of credits not passed in the semester exceeding 50% of the registered credits in the semester.

Every school year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law announces a list of students who are subject to forced expulsion and academic warnings according to regulations. In the second semester of the 2021-2022 school year, the school decided to force 37 students to drop out and give academic warnings to 89 students due to poor academic results.
