For students of the 2021 class and earlier, the standard tuition fee is 247,000 VND/credit, applicable to all training majors. The Vietnamese Studies major has a tuition fee of 247,000 VND/credit for Vietnamese people and a tuition fee of 1.2 million VND/credit for foreigners.
For the 2022 and 2023 enrollments, tuition fees are applied according to an autonomous mechanism.
Specifically, the tuition fee for the group of majors in philosophy, religious studies, history, geography, information - library, and archival studies is 13 million VND/school year.
Group of majors: education, linguistics, literature, cultural studies, sociology, anthropology, oriental studies, office administration, social work, educational management, educational psychology, urban studies, information management: 19.8 million VND/school year.
International relations, psychology, journalism, multimedia communication: 22 million VND/school year.
Russian language, Italian language, Spanish language group: 15.6 million VND/school year.
French and German language groups: 23.7 million VND/school year.
English language, Chinese language, Japanese studies, Korean studies, tourism and travel services management: 26.4 million VND/school year.
For Vietnamese Studies, the tuition fee for Vietnamese students is 19.8 million VND/school year and the tuition fee for foreigners is 60 million VND/school year.
Students majoring in Party history, Marxist-Leninist philosophy, scientific socialism, and Ho Chi Minh thought will be exempted from tuition fees. 2+2 international joint programs cost from 45 to 82 million VND per academic year.
Tuition fees for regular university programs with international standards for the 2021 and earlier courses are 36 million VND/year and for the 2022 and 2023 courses are 60 million VND/year.
For postgraduate training, tuition fees for autonomous courses are twice as high as before autonomy. Specifically, for example, tuition fees for postgraduate programs for Vietnamese people during office hours are VND540,000/credit. Meanwhile, the tuition fees for the 2022 and 2023 enrollment periods are VND1.1 million/credit (equivalent to VND33 million/year).
From the 2022 class, Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities will apply new tuition fees when implementing the autonomous mechanism. Compared to last year, the tuition fees applied to this group increased by about 10% (except for Russian, Italian, Spanish and international programs). Last year, the 2022 class was the first class that the school switched to implementing the financial autonomy mechanism, so it applied new tuition fees, the collection level is about 13-24 million VND/year for the standard program and the highest is 60 million VND for the high-quality program.
