The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, has officially announced the tuition fees applicable for the 2023-2024 academic year.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City applies different tuition fee levels for students admitted in 2023.
For students enrolled in 2021 or earlier, the tuition fee for the standard program is 247,000 VND/credit, applicable to all majors. However, for the Vietnamese Studies major, the tuition fee is 247,000 VND/credit for Vietnamese students and 1.2 million VND/credit for foreign students.
For the 2022 and 2023 enrollment periods, tuition fees are applied under an autonomous system.
Specifically, the tuition fee for the fields of philosophy, religious studies, history, geography, information and library science, and archival studies is 13 million VND per academic year.
The group of majors including education , linguistics, literature, cultural studies, sociology, anthropology, oriental studies, office administration, social work, educational management, educational psychology, urban studies, and information management: 19.8 million VND/academic year.
International relations, psychology, journalism, and multimedia communication majors: 22 million VND/academic year.
Tuition for Russian, Italian, and Spanish language majors: 15.6 million VND/academic year.
French and German language majors: 23.7 million VND/academic year.
Tuition for the following majors: English language, Chinese language, Japanese studies, Korean studies, tourism and travel service management: 26.4 million VND/academic year.
Specifically, the tuition fee for Vietnamese Studies is 19.8 million VND per academic year for Vietnamese students and 60 million VND per academic year for foreign students.
Students majoring in Party history, Marxist-Leninist philosophy, scientific socialism, and Ho Chi Minh Thought will be exempt from tuition fees. International 2+2 joint programs have fees ranging from 45 to 82 million VND per academic year.
Tuition fees for regular undergraduate programs with international standard training for cohorts from 2021 and earlier are 36 million VND/year, and for cohorts of 2022 and 2023 are 60 million VND/year.
For postgraduate training, tuition fees for autonomous programs are double those before autonomy. Specifically, for example, the tuition fee for a master's program for Vietnamese students during regular working hours is 540,000 VND/credit. Meanwhile, for the 2022 and 2023 intakes, it was 1.1 million VND/credit (equivalent to 33 million VND/year).
Starting with the 2022 cohort, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City implemented new tuition fees under its autonomous management mechanism. Compared to last year, the tuition fees for this group increased by approximately 10% (excluding Russian, Italian, Spanish language majors and international programs). Last year, the 2022 cohort was the first to transition to financial autonomy, hence the new tuition fees, ranging from approximately 13-24 million VND/year for standard programs and up to 60 million VND for high-quality programs.
