On April 11, the external assessment expert team of the Saigon Education Quality Assessment Center (CEA-SAIGON) in collaboration with Cuu Long University (CUU) organized the opening ceremony of the official survey to assess the quality of educational institutions (cycle 2) and 3 training programs of the school, including: 2 master's training programs (Vietnamese Literature, Food Technology) and 1 undergraduate training program (Accounting).
Attending the opening ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Kim Dung, Director of CEA-SAIGON Center; Meritorious Teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu - Party Committee Secretary, Principal of the University of Economics and Business; Dr. Dang Thi Ngoc Lan, Vice Principal of the University of Economics and Business...

Dr. Nguyen Kim Dung thanked the leaders of the University of Economics and Business for trusting and continuing to choose CEA-SAIGON as the accompanying unit to conduct external evaluation of the educational institution (cycle 2) and 3 training programs of the school.
The Director of CEA-SAIGON commented that over the past year, the University of Water Resources has developed significantly. The facilities are spacious, the inspection team is more professional. The school always strives to fulfill its mission and vision as a multidisciplinary university, with the task of training and providing highly qualified human resources to meet social needs; as a center for research and technology transfer in the Mekong Delta region and the whole country, serving the cause of industrialization, modernization and international integration.
"Regarding the strategic vision, by 2025, the University of Natural Resources and Environment will become a prestigious, high-quality training, scientific research, and technology transfer center in the Mekong Delta region; by 2035, it will become a prestigious domestic school in training, scientific research, and technology transfer" - Dr. Nguyen Kim Dung emphasized.
During this survey, CEA-SAIGON established two evaluation teams (evaluating educational facilities and evaluating training programs). All members participating in the evaluation are auditors in the right field to help the school promote its strengths and overcome its shortcomings (if any).

Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu affirmed that for universities, accreditation plays an important role. It demonstrates the prestige of the training quality and academic value of the school. Therefore, the Party Committee and the school's Board of Directors direct the units to be determined to carry out the educational accreditation work well. Therefore, we hope that CEA-SAIGON will help the school evaluate the quality of educational facilities and training programs according to the guidance documents of the Ministry of Education and Training. The school is committed to providing maximum support to help CEA-SAIGON complete its tasks well.
The University of Languages and International Studies was recognized as meeting the first cycle of university education quality accreditation standards in 2018. To date, the school has had 10 training programs recognized as meeting the education quality accreditation standards.
