Specifically, Bach Khoa University has announced the admission benchmarks for 2024 according to methods 1.2: Priority for direct admission of excellent and talented candidates from high schools according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University and method 2: Priority for admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Information shows that this year, Bach Khoa University received 3,211 applications with 8,696 wishes for method 2 and 96 applications with 232 wishes for method 1.2. Compared to 2023, the number of applications increased by 18.8% for method 2 and increased by 7.4% for method 1.2.

The school considers admission based on the total average scores of subjects (in the admission subject group) of grades 10, 11, 12 (90-point scale), according to essays; recommendation letters (method 2). Out of 44 admission majors, there are 6 majors with a benchmark score above 85 and 21 majors with a benchmark score above 81 (the average score of each subject in the admission group must be 9.0 points). The major with the highest benchmark score is computer science, Standard program with a total score of 86.7.

Bach Khoa University notes that candidates who are eligible for admission through early admission methods must re-register this wish at the Ministry of Education and Training's (MOET) admission registration portal from July 18 to before 5:00 p.m. on July 30. If they do not re-register on the MOET's portal, it means that candidates will not use this result for admission.

Candidates who are not admitted by the early admission methods can still continue to register for their favorite majors with method 5 "Comprehensive admission". Candidates applying for admission by this method register their wishes at the Ministry of Education and Training's admission registration portal and register additional information (personal information, high school transcripts, personal achievements, foreign language certificates, etc.) on the information portal of the University of Science and Technology (https://mybk.hcmut.edu.vn/tuyensinh/login) (expected from July 18, 2024 to before 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2024).
