On August 29, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine and An Binh Hospital signed a cooperation agreement in training, scientific research and public health care. This is the basis for the two sides to carry out cooperation activities to develop staff, improve the quality of medical human resources, training, scientific research and professional development.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hiep, Principal of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, the signing is in line with the school's mission of training highly skilled human resources, scientific research and community service. The school's operations are to accompany the health sector, including the health system of districts and especially grade 1 hospitals.

This is an opportunity for the school to accompany the health sector; through students, learners towards patients and people to provide the best health services and people benefit on the basis of effective coordination and exploitation of resources of both sides in the direction of effective use with professional activities in the direction of hospital development.

Currently, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has a network of 53 practice facilities and many models and coordination methods to implement practice activities.

For grade 1 hospitals; the school is very interested in following the Institute - School model (with hospital lecturers concurrently working at the hospital and vice versa, the hospital will concurrently hold school positions) to closely link the activities of the hospital and the school in an academic and practical direction, especially in scientific research activities.

"The cooperation is going in the right direction based on mutual understanding and the strengths of the two units; the school hopes that the hospital is ready to accept postgraduate students so that they can both study and receive medical examination and treatment work and do scientific research; the postgraduate training products are the products of the two beneficiary units", Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hiep informed.
