Hanoi Medical University bans students from wearing low-cut shirts and jeans with ripped knees.

Hanoi Medical University has just issued regulations on school uniforms for students, which prohibits students from wearing pants, short skirts that expose the knees, low-rise pants/skirts, jeans with torn knees, thighs and hems; low-cut shirts, tank tops, short shirts that reach the waist, etc.

The purpose of the regulation is to raise students' sense of responsibility in protecting school security, arouse and develop student pride, promote the school's image, and contribute to building a healthy cultural environment in schools.

In addition, strictly implement a civilized lifestyle in school, ensure compliance with school rules and regulations; build a standard style, sense of discipline, and professional demeanor of students during their time at school.

According to this regulation, regarding traditional uniforms, Hanoi Medical University stipulates summer/winter/sports uniforms for students depending on the season and activities, dark pants (for women, dark skirts with length above the knee are allowed), shoes or sandals with back straps, and student ID cards.

Students wear traditional uniforms at school-organized events or activities that gather school students to participate in at other agencies and organizations.

Regarding other uniforms, when participating in laboratory, practice, and community practice, students must wear blouses, student ID cards, keep their fingernails short, and wear masks when in contact with patients.

When attending National Defense Education, students wear uniforms according to specific regulations of the teaching unit.

When participating in club, group, team, or group activities, students must wear their own club, group, team, or group uniform according to the regulations of the Youth Union and Student Association.

In addition to events and activities requiring uniforms, when participating in school activities and learning, students need to wear neat, clean clothes to ensure seriousness. The school encourages ethnic minority students to use their ethnic costumes on holidays, New Year's Day, appropriate festivals and on days when the school does not require uniforms.

Hanoi Medical University clearly stipulates the following student uniforms that are not allowed to be used:

- Dirty, sloppy, see-through clothing, with offensive drawings or writings that are not suitable for the educational environment, do not conform to Vietnamese customs and traditions, and are contrary to the provisions of law.

- Pants, short skirts that expose the knees, low-rise pants/skirts, jeans with ripped knees, thighs and hems.

- Low neck tops, sleeveless tops, short tops that hit the waist.

- Sandals without back straps.

- Dress contrary to the specific regulations of each specific activity.

- Dye hair bright and colorful colors.

Students will be deducted from 1 to 3 training points for each violation of the dress code that is reminded and reviewed. Depending on the level of violation and the level of impact of the violation, students may be subject to disciplinary action ranging from reprimand to warning in front of the whole school.

Units that organize learning, practice and other activities according to the plan of Hanoi Medical University at locations inside and outside the school are responsible for checking and reminding students to comply with regulations on dress code and making records to handle violations.

The Student Affairs and Dormitory Management Office is the focal point for receiving documents on cases of students violating this regulation from units within the school. The Office is responsible for proposing disciplinary measures and submitting them to the Student Emulation, Reward and Discipline Council for consideration and decision.
