Saigon University trains according to "orders" Saigontourist Group

On the afternoon of October 27, at Dong Khoi Hotel - Grand Hotel Saigon, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the signing ceremony of a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the period 2023-2028 took place between Saigon Tourist Corporation (Saigontourist Group) and Saigon University.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Vo Anh Tai, Deputy General Director of Saigontourist Group, said that the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two units is important and timely, concretizing the long-term development strategy of Saigontourist Group.

Accordingly, Saigontourist Group will support and accompany Saigon University to implement cooperation contents to concretize contributions to the development of the tourism industry.

The two sides committed to closely coordinate in training, professional development, and tourism skills through exchanging lecturers and experts to share practical experiences, student exchanges, internship support, and research on operations, management, and services at hotels, resorts, restaurants, travel agencies, and entertainment areas of Saigontourist Group nationwide.

In order to concretize the contents of the cooperation agreement, right after the signing ceremony, Saigontourist School of Tourism and Hospitality and Saigon University also signed a joint plan to coordinate the organization of practical courses for 520 students of Saigon University in the 2023-2024 school year.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Pham Hoang Quan, President of Saigon University, the signing ceremony marks the innovation and comprehensive cooperation between the two units. The school commits to close cooperation, coordinating to develop training and teaching program content to meet the recruitment needs of tourism, travel, restaurants, hotels, etc.

Saigon University provides multi-disciplinary and multi-field training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Throughout 51 years of construction and development (1972 - 2023), the school has always set the goal of comprehensive and active development for the cause of Vietnamese education. Currently, the school is training PhDs, masters, full-time undergraduates, and linking from intermediate and college to university; training and granting certificates for 7 programs for teachers; training and organizing English assessment tests according to the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam, Linguaskill of the Cambridge University English Language Assessment Council.
