Leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs presented flower baskets to congratulate Lao students on the occasion of the new year Bunpimay 2025.

On the occasion of the New Year Bunpimay 2025 (Buddhist calendar 2568), the leaders of Hung Vuong University sent their best wishes to Laotian students studying at the school, wishing them a happy Bunpimay in Vietnam. The school leaders praised the efforts and spirit of overcoming difficulties of Laotian students, thereby contributing to creating a good learning environment, a multicultural and united student community at HVU; hoping that the students will continue to strive, study and practice well so that after graduating, they can return to their home country to contribute to the construction and development of Laos, contributing to nurturing, preserving and promoting the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, forever green, forever sustainable.

In the warm and bustling atmosphere of the meeting to celebrate the traditional Bunpimay New Year, the delegates and Lao students participated in traditional Bunpimay New Year rituals such as: tying a thread on the wrist, splashing water to wish for good luck in the new year and joining in the special cultural program imbued with the cultural identity of Laos and Vietnam... so that the Lao students could celebrate the traditional New Year of the nation in a joyful and warm atmosphere.

It is known that Hung Vuong University is proud to be one of the highereducation institutions in Vietnam that the Party and State of the two countries have entrusted with the task of training human resources for Laos. Over the years, the University has made continuous efforts to fulfill its assigned responsibilities. From 2008 to present, more than 300 Laotian students have been trained at university and postgraduate levels. Many graduates have become key officials, playing important roles in the management and development apparatus of localities in Laos. These achievements are not only a testament to the training quality of Hung Vuong University, but also demonstrate the depth of the Vietnam - Laos friendship. In recognition of the noble recognition from the neighboring country, the University was honored to receive the Friendship Medal in 2011 and the Third Class Labor Medal in 2021 from the President of the Lao PDR, which is a source of pride and also a motivation for the University to continue to strive in the coming time.
