University supports province to develop into a centrally-governed city

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee have just signed a cooperation agreement to build a comprehensive cooperation platform.

One of the goals of this cooperation is to exploit and effectively use the professional potential, lecturers and experts of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law to support the goal of building and developing Khanh Hoa province into a centrally-governed city by 2030.

To realize this goal, the two sides agreed to cooperate in many fields. Ho Chi Minh City University of Law will participate in advising the Provincial People's Committee in building and implementing mechanisms and policies for socio-economic development of the province. In particular, some specific mechanisms and policies are stipulated in Resolution No. 55 of the National Assembly on piloting some specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province.

Including policies on financial management, state budget, decentralization of state management in the fields of planning, land, environment, separating compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance projects from public investment projects...

The two sides will cooperate and organize training activities and foster high-quality human resources for the province. The two units will participate in the selection process, assigning the implementation of scientific and technological tasks of the province, projects and proposals within the framework of the province's socio-economic development programs.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law organizes activities to disseminate and popularize law to officials and people in Khanh Hoa province.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, with the goal of building and developing Khanh Hoa province to become a centrally-run city by 2030, through cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, the province hopes that in addition to the efforts of the local government, there will also be support and advice from training institutions, especially Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, to help Khanh Hoa province soon complete the set goals.

Dr. Le Truong Son - Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law - said that the school and Khanh Hoa province have also had a cooperative relationship in the field of training and human resource development. In addition to the above cooperation contents, the school will also research and implement many preferential policies on training and scholarship policies for Khanh Hoa province to contribute to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two sides.

Promoting the establishment of a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in Khanh Hoa

In addition to the main campus in Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law has chosen Khanh Hoa province to establish its first branch. Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee agreed in principle to carry out procedures to establish a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law on a 2.17-hectare land plot in Bac Hon Ong area, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.

Based on the approval of the policy of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, in June 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a decision approving the policy for Ho Chi Minh City University of Law to establish a branch in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa.

Mr. Son said that the site is urgently implementing steps to prepare for investment in the Nha Trang branch construction project. The school is expected to approve the investment policy in September 2024 and submit the land allocation application to the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee in October 2024.
