DNVN - On August 21, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 2198/QD-BGDDT allowing Dong A University to enroll and train in the university-level Medicine major.
From the 2024-2025 school year, along with the Rehabilitation Engineering major, the Medical major - major code 7720101 - will officially join the Health major block of Dong A University (DAU) alongside the dominant majors such as Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, and Nutrition.
From the 2024-2025 school year, Dong A University will officially enroll and train undergraduate students in Medicine.
The program has high applicability, equipping students with good expertise and high clinical skills upon graduation, integrating towards global doctors to work in multinational environments.
The program is also compared with national and international standard programs, aiming to connect knowledge after graduating from university (level 7 medical doctor) to continue training for practice certificates, postgraduate training in 2 directions: practice (specialty 1, specialty 2), residency and academic (doctoral research).
Along with a team of excellent lecturers, the Faculty of Medicine of Dong A University invests in and operates a system of nearly 20 standardized practice laboratories, a modern preclinical simulation center and a network of clinical practice facilities at units with advanced specialized techniques.
Dong A University is also promoting comprehensive cooperation with Kameda Social Medical Group (Japan) to implement a Japanese-standard international clinic project in Da Nang in the near future.
Candidates who graduate from high school and meet the quality assurance threshold according to the regulations of the school and the Ministry of Education and Training can choose one or more methods to register for admission to the Medical program at Dong A University, including:
1) Consider the combination of subject scores in the 2024 high school graduation exam (Method code 100) with an admission score of ≥22.5 points;
2) Admission based on high school academic results (Method code 200)
a. Consider the average score (GPA) of grade 12
Admission score = Average score of Grade 12 ≥ 8.0, and having excellent academic results in Grade 12 or high school graduation score from 8.0 points.
b. Consider 3 semester scores:
Admission score = (1st semester of grade 11 + 2nd semester of grade 11 + 1st semester of grade 12) ≥ 24 points, and at the same time have excellent academic results in grade 12 or high school graduation score from 8.0 points.
3) Admission based on the score of the competency assessment test organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2024 (Method code 402)
Admission score ≥ 750, and have excellent 12th grade academic results or high school graduation score of 8.0 or higher.
4) Direct admission according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (Method code 301)
Registration deadline is September 30 in two ways: directly at the school or online at https://donga.edu.vn/dangky.
In addition, along with reasonable tuition fees, the 2024 Cherry Blossom Scholarship offers many valuable "Medical Talent" scholarships and "Encouragement of Learning to Develop Medical Human Resources" scholarships for students studying Medicine at Dong A University in the 2024-2025 academic year.
The Dong A University Admissions Portal also updated the admission scores for 2024 in nearly 40 university training majors at the Da Nang campus and 20 university training majors at the Dak Lak branch with the range from 15-22.5 points for the method of considering high school graduation exam results and from 18-24 points for the method of considering high school transcript results. In particular, the Health sector is the group of majors with the highest admission scores among the majors at Dong A University.
It is known that at the end of July, Dong A University was also officially permitted by the Ministry of Education and Training to enroll and train in the Rehabilitation Engineering major at the university level from the 2024-2025 school year.
