The structure of the entrance exam for grade 10 of the Foreign Language Specialized High School (under the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) in 2024 is basically the same as in 2023.
The exam structure includes three subjects: Foreign Language Proficiency Assessment; Math and Natural Science Proficiency Assessment; Literature and Social Science Proficiency Assessment.
In 2023, the Foreign Language Specialized High School will enroll 400 specialized students and 100 non-specialized students. The total number of applications received by the Foreign Language Specialized High School is more than 3,800, of which more than half are registered for English classes. With a target of 215 specialized students, the English class has a competition ratio of 1/9.7, meaning that for every 10 students taking the exam, one will be admitted.
The Russian class only recruited 15 students, while 319 students registered, so the competition ratio was the highest - 1/21.3. Next was the Korean class with a competition ratio of 1/10.2, Japanese and French both 1/9.2. The two classes with the lowest competition ratios were German and Chinese, 1/7.9 and 1/6.8, respectively.
The admission scores for 7 specialized blocks of the Foreign Language Specialized High School in 2023 range from 22 to more than 30 points.
