Previously, Ms. Vu Thi Phuong Anh, Principal of Quang Nam College, signed a document to the People's Committee of Quang Nam province requesting approval of the decision to purchase the "procurement of teaching equipment" package in 2022 of the school from the capital source of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2022.
Quang Nam College was established in 2021 on the basis of merging 6 colleges in the area.
According to the proposal, Quang Nam College is the agency authorized to purchase, implemented in a decentralized manner. The total estimated amount is more than 1.86 billion VND.
The list of assets that Quang Nam College requested to be funded for purchase includes 90 desktop computers worth 990 million VND (11 million VND/set); installation accessories for 3 computer rooms worth more than 67 million VND; 45 computer tables and chairs worth more than 166 million VND (more than 3.7 million VND/set); 3 65-inch TVs worth 60 million VND (20 million VND/unit); TV wall mounts plus 10-meter HDMI cables worth more than 1.9 million VND; 7 industrial standing fans worth more than 10.3 million VND.
In particular, Quang Nam College proposed to be granted money to buy a model of a VVT electronic fuel injection engine, a 5-speed automatic transmission worth 385 million VND; an Axone Nemo Mini car diagnostic device worth 145 million VND...
It is known that Quang Nam College was newly established at the end of May 2021 on the basis of merging 6 colleges in the area. At that time, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province announced the decision to transfer and appoint Ms. Vu Thi Phuong Anh, Vice Principal of Quang Nam University, as Principal of Quang Nam College from June 1, 2021.
On March 14, the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Nam province reported the results of the investigation into the anonymous complaint related to bidding at Quang Nam College.
In the report, the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Nam province proposed that the People's Committee of Quang Nam province direct Quang Nam College to organize a review of relevant groups and individuals regarding shortcomings and errors in the organization and implementation of project bidding. The Department of Planning and Investment said that it will carry out sanction procedures according to its authority for violations by relevant units in accordance with regulations.
