Taking her son to the amusement park at Vincom Center, Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Han (35 years old, living in Binh Thanh district) shared that during the New Year holiday, she only took her son out to play and eat in the city, letting him enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Ms. Han said that in previous years, her family often drove to Vung Tau, but this year the vacation time was short and the economy was difficult, so she took her children to play near home and took the opportunity to buy necessary items.

In addition to shopping malls, entertainment venues such as the Zoo and Botanical Garden and Ho Chi Minh City Book Street are also favorite choices of many families.

At the Zoo (District 1), from early morning, this area was crowded with visitors. By noon, the number of people pouring in increased, causing the entrance area to be often crowded. Many families had to wait in long lines to buy tickets.

Similarly, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street also attracts thousands of parents, children and foreign tourists.

Typically, Autumn Bookstore has the same price of 20,000 - 40,000 VND, 20% discount for all books except rare books; Women's Publishing House has the same price from 5,000 VND, discount up to 30% for all new books.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Huynh Ngoc Van, director of the Ao Dai Museum, said the number of visitors to the museum on the morning of January 1 was about 400.

"Visitors arrived very early, some young people were there from 7:30 a.m. waiting for the museum to open at 8 a.m., and there were also young people from far away provinces such as Binh Duong, Dong Thap and Ba Ria - Vung Tau. They wanted to take advantage of taking photos in a quiet space, avoid the crowded scene and enjoy the beauty of the museum," Ms. Van shared.
