Giao Thuy Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center focuses on training quality

Every year, the Board of Directors of the Center has closely followed the industry's guiding documents to implement the school year's plan and tasks, professional regulations, regulations on emulation and reward evaluation, etc. to strengthen the management of order and discipline in teaching and learning, to carry out objective, fair, and appropriate emulation and reward evaluation to create motivation for emulation in learning and training of both teachers and students. At the same time, strengthen coordination between families and the center, maintain full communication between homeroom teachers, parents and center leaders to promptly grasp the thoughts, aspirations, and problems of students to advise and resolve promptly. With the type of GDTX learning, the "input" of students is low, and they do not have a high awareness in studying and training. Therefore, the Center has identified the work of educating students' ethics as the top priority. Under the direction of the Center's Board of Directors, each homeroom teacher has promoted his or her role and responsibility towards each student, thereby grasping the circumstances as well as the thoughts and aspirations of the students to develop a plan to help, especially those in difficult circumstances and poor families to excel in their studies and training. The Center also closely coordinates with local authorities to implement the coordination regulations in the work of protecting security and order inside and outside the Center, while promoting cultural and artistic activities, sports, group activities and extracurricular activities, talks on prevention of social evils... to attract students to a healthy living environment, away from bad habits. Over the years, the quality of cultural education at the Center has always been among the top of the province's vocational education and continuing education centers. The high school graduation rate is 100%; the vocational training rate is over 99%. In the 2023-2024 school year, the center's graduation rate reached 100%, with the average score ranking second in the province. Student Tran Van Toan, class 12E, had a high total score of 27.5 points in block C, including 9 points in Literature, 9.75 points in History and Geography. Many students were admitted to colleges and universities with high scores.

In addition to cultural education, Giao Thuy Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center also actively carries out the task of vocational training for students. Every year, 100% of the center's students choose to register for vocational training that suits their wishes. All vocational training for students is undertaken by vocational school lecturers, the remaining 30% of theoretical study time is for practice using the most modern equipment invested by vocational schools. With a schedule from Monday to Thursday afternoon for cultural studies; from Thursday afternoon and all day Friday for vocational training, the Center assigns teachers to directly manage students during cultural and practical classes to ensure seriousness and efficiency. The Center directly selects vocational schools, signs contracts to bring teachers to teach; reserves a separate practice area for students with full modern equipment, suitable for reality. Currently, the center's staff and teachers have been trained in basic professions: Automotive repair technology, refrigeration and air conditioning engineering, fashion cutting and sewing techniques, civil and industrial electrical engineering; and at the same time, they participate in vocational pedagogical training classes. Every year, the center cooperates with vocational training schools such as: Vocational College No. 20 of the Ministry of National Defense, Central College of Technology to train in professions such as fashion sewing, refrigeration and air conditioning engineering, automotive technology, sewing equipment repair, beauty care. With the motto "Theory goes hand in hand with practice", "hand-holding", the center's teachers always focus on innovating teaching methods in class, regularly organizing field trips for students to companies and businesses to easily absorb knowledge and apply it in practice at production workshops. At the same time, cooperate with prestigious enterprises in and outside the district to recruit and train according to orders to provide skilled human resources for industrial parks, factories, etc. Implement links between enterprises and vocational training institutions to combine theory with practice, theory with practice to improve training quality, link training with labor needs. Last school year, the Center organized for students to visit the factories of enterprises such as: Hoa Phat Household Appliances, THACO Auto Factory, Pro-Sports Giao Yen Company, Vocational College No. 20 of the Ministry of National Defense. Through the visits, students have orientation for the future after graduation. Many students who received vocational training after graduation have been recruited into companies, mechanical workshops, worked as chefs in some kindergartens, or continued to register for admission to colleges and universities to improve their skills. In the 2022-2024 course, Vocational College No. 20 of the Ministry of National Defense recognized the graduation of 145 students, including 54 students majoring in refrigeration and air conditioning engineering, 48 students majoring in fashion sewing, and 43 students majoring in automotive technology. Right at the graduation ceremony, representatives of Song Hong Garment Company, Giao Yen Professional Sports Fashion Joint Stock Company, Eduway Company... directly shared recruitment information for students in need to register for work immediately.

With practical and synchronous solutions in implementing cultural education combined with vocational training, Giao Thuy Continuing Education Center has contributed to building a learning society associated with the local political tasks and meeting the learning needs of people in the district.
