China will participate in the April 30 parade in Ho Chi Minh City

General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, and General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, co-chaired a comprehensive inspection of the training of the parade forces in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the evening of April 18.

This is the first training session on Le Duan Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) to continue evaluating results, drawing experience from training work, and serving as a basis for units to continue training forces participating in parades and marches in the celebration to achieve the best results.

General Phan Van Giang said that through comprehensive training, in general, the blocks, military forces, police, and militia participating in the parade and march ensured fairly even quality.

Agencies and units need to pay special attention to the appearance of the troops during the parade, ensuring they are cheerful and avoid excessive tension; study the arrangement of reasonable standing formations between the military and police blocks, which can be interwoven by color and force; pay attention to ensuring appropriate distances between blocks, correct spacing, and regulations; adjust the conductor's standing position to suit the formation...

The Minister of National Defense noted that the commanders of agencies and units should encourage soldiers to continue to practice hard, improve quality, and determine their determination to successfully complete the task of marching and parading in the upcoming celebration.

He shared his memories of participating in the parade in 1985, training for 6 months at Hoa Lac airport in hot weather, with limited conditions but the soldiers were determined to complete the mission.

General Phan Van Giang believes that with the experience from the parade celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the forces will continue to fulfill their tasks well, contributing to the successful organization of the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

Security and safety must be given top priority. The Minister requested the Army to carry out mine clearance, organize strict guarding, and ensure good care for the lives and health of officers and soldiers.

In particular, General Phan Van Giang said that "there are 3 blocs of China, Laos and Cambodia also participating in the parade with us" so we must ensure good logistics. Because according to him, this is a very valuable and admirable thing when 3 countries send forces to participate in the parade.

At the press conference on the morning of April 18 about the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that the celebration will have the participation of 4 ceremonial groups, 36 parade groups, 12 marching groups and is expected to include the Lao and Cambodian armies.
