The Jilin-1 Kuanfu 02A satellite was researched and developed by Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd.
Following its successful launch, the satellite will further advance the Jilin-1 satellite network, expanding the data collection range of Jilin-1 with high-resolution sensors and a wide transmission range. This will provide an increasingly rich data source, useful for land resource surveys, smart city development, and agricultural and forestry exploitation.
The Guchengxing-1 rocket is known to be a small, solid-fuel commercial rocket capable of launching nanosatellites into low Earth orbit.
This marks the eighth consecutive successful launch of the commercial rocket Guchengxing-1, the fourth consecutive successful launch this year, and the third launch in 35 days.
Currently, the Shenxing-1 spacecraft has entered the intensive research phase and is preparing for its ninth land-based launch and its first sea-based launch. Galaxy Power Aerospace Group stated that in the future, it will play a larger role in the development of China's space science and satellite technology industry at low cost.
