China successfully launched the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft, carrying 3 astronauts to the Tiangong Station.

DNVN - In the early morning of October 30, Vietnam time, China launched the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft carrying three astronauts to the Tiangong Space Station. The spacecraft was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu Province, Northwest China, using a Long March 2F rocket.

After being launched for about 10 minutes, the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft left the rocket and entered the predetermined orbit, starting its journey towards the Tiangong Station. The commander of the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center said that the health condition of all three astronauts on board was stable, marking a successful launch.

The China Manned Space Administration also confirmed that, after entering orbit, the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft is expected to approach and perform a quick docking with the Tiangong Station. After the astronauts of the Shenzhou-18 mission return to Earth in the next few days, the Shenzhou-19 crew will take over command of the Tiangong Station.

During the six-month stay at Tiangong Station, the three astronauts of Shenzhou-19 will welcome the cargo spacecraft Tianzhou-8 and the manned spacecraft Shenzhou-20.

The crew of this mission will carry out 86 space science and technology tasks, including space activities and installation of equipment to protect the Tiangong Station from space debris. In addition, they will participate in scientific education and public welfare activities, and conduct a number of payload tests during the mission.
