China affirms that the closing ceremony of the 19th Asian Games will "satisfy all viewers"

If the Opening Ceremony is a strong impression of Chinese culture, the Closing Ceremony of ASIAD 19 will bring a closer and warmer atmosphere, where those who make the Games successful will be honored.

The closing ceremony of the 19th Asian Games will take place at 8:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. Vietnam time) at the Hangzhou Olympic Lotus Stadium. For many days, while the sports were still being competed, the host country has been urgently and carefully preparing for the closing ceremony.

In addition to the performances introducing the culture, land and people of Hangzhou, the closing ceremony is especially awaited by the honoring programs.

The honor is for the athletes who achieved impressive results at this year's Asian Games , with special thanks to the volunteers who contributed significantly to the success of the event.

"The athletes and volunteers are the ones who are honored in the closing ceremony, which lasts 75 minutes. We will try to bring a real party for them, who have made the success of the Games, where they have made many new friends," said the program's general director Sha Xiaolan.

The organizers affirmed that the Closing Ceremony will convey to everyone the warm feeling of love, respect, and joy of meeting each other again rather than regret.

Like the Opening Ceremony, the Closing Ceremony of the 19th ASIAD uses modern sound and light technology to create top-notch performances. A giant LED screen will be the highlight of the event.

The big difference from the opening ceremony is that the LED screen will not play an important role, instead the pitch will shine with a network of 40 thousand lighting points, turning the stadium into a giant color palette, displaying moving images, a sparkling starry sky, covered with flowers and waves.

There, a “river of memories” will flow along the stage until the end of the performance, recreating the thoughtfulness of the volunteers, before welcoming the athletes to the final chapter.

A multidimensional simulation of the 19th Asian Games torch lit by Olympic swimming superstar Wang Shun at the Opening Ceremony on September 23 will return to create a unique flame-extinguishing scene at the Closing Ceremony.

The performance program of the Closing Ceremony of ASIAD 19 was attended by more than 2,100 people, rehearsed, went through more than 200 rehearsals and preliminary rehearsals... and promises to bring an impressive performance event on the night of October 8.

At the 19th ASIAD, the Vietnamese sports delegation won 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals, 19 bronze medals, ranking 21st on the 19th ASIAD rankings. Although achieving the goal (winning 2-5 gold medals), it is clear that Vietnamese sports have revealed many limitations, inferior to countries in the region despite being at the top of the SEA Games in the last two editions.

ASIAD 19 has come to an end. Hopefully, Vietnamese sports will know where they stand, have a methodical strategy, and make large and effective investments to achieve better results at ASIAD 20, taking place in 2026 in Nagoya, Japan.
