China calls on Vietnam to cooperate in research, production and manufacturing of aircraft

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , in the series of events of the 13th meeting of the Vietnam-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee taking place in Beijing (China), on the morning of September 30, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien had a working session with Chinese Minister of Industry and Technology Jin Zhuanglong.

Previously, in August, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of China signed a memorandum of understanding to establish regular cooperation and exchange mechanisms to further promote economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Nguyen Hong Dien said that Vietnam and China have the advantage of close geographical location and that Vietnam has participated in a series of free trade agreements with major partners such as EVFTA, CPTPP, RCEP, which has helped the production and supply chains between Vietnam and China become closer, creating more cooperation opportunities for businesses in the industrial sector of the two countries.

Accordingly, the two ministries signed a memorandum of cooperation as a basis to promote strong cooperation contents to develop each side's industry.

At the meeting, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien suggested that the two sides promote cooperation in the fields of automobile industry; consumer industry, food processing and packaging; mining industry; supporting industry... China should increase support for Vietnamese enterprises to participate deeply in the supply of products and services to foreign investors; share information, organize training courses to support Vietnamese officials and experts in the management and development of industries.

The Minister of Industry and Trade also suggested that the two sides focus on promoting cooperation in implementing three railway routes connecting Vietnam and China, including: Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong; Lang Son - Hanoi; Mong Cai - Ha Long - Hai Phong.

According to Chinese Minister of Industry and Technology Jin Zhuanglong, from the recently signed memorandum of understanding, the two ministries can establish a cooperation mechanism and regular exchanges to promote the development of economic and industrial cooperation.

Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises can cooperate immediately in areas of mutual interest such as raw materials, automobile industry, electricity industry, and joint development of industrial park systems.

Minister Kim Trang Long said many large Chinese auto companies have planned to invest in Vietnam. China also pledged to support businesses to expand investment in Vietnam.

Affirming that there is still much room for industrial cooperation between Vietnam and China, Minister Kim Trang Long suggested that the two sides should promote and develop industrial supply chains; promote cooperation in the fields of electricity industry, consumer industry, supporting industry and promote the development of aerospace technology...

In particular, Minister Kim Trang Long emphasized the potential and space for cooperation between the two countries in the field of aerospace industry. China has its own space station and masters space, Thailand has participated in this space station and China hopes that Vietnam will soon become a member.

Minister Kim Trang Long proposed and called on Vietnam to cooperate with China in the field of aircraft production and manufacturing, and affirmed that China is ready to cooperate with Vietnam in exchanging and sharing experiences, transferring technology, and jointly promoting the development of the aviation industry.
