That means the days and dates in April of these two years are identical.

Notably, April 30, 2025 - the 50th anniversary of the country's complete reunification - once again falls on a Wednesday, coinciding with Wednesday, April 30, 1975.

This coincidence makes this April more special than ever, as if time is taking us back to relive the heroic moments of 50 years ago.

According to researchers, the phenomenon occurs due to the repetition rule of the Gregorian calendar - the calendar system commonly used worldwide. However, it is rare for the calendar of a month to match exactly after exactly 50 years.

For the Vietnamese, this coincidence is like a precious gift of time, reminding each of us that today's peace and independence are the result of the blood, tears and youth of many generations of our ancestors.

A historian shared that although this was just a coincidence according to the laws of the calendar, when it happened right on the occasion of the whole country looking towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, it had a special meaning.
