The North-South railway landslide incident in the Hoa Duyet - Yen Due section through Lien Chau village, Duc Lien commune, Vu Quang district (Ha Tinh) occurred at 2:00 a.m. this morning (October 30), causing many passing trains to stop and wait.

From the afternoon to the evening of October 30, the railway industry plans to transfer passengers on 4 other trains.
Regarding the landslide, the railway industry plans to use 1,000 - 1,200 m3 of rubble, contained in baskets, to move from both ends of the landslide area to the scene. However, due to the complex terrain of the landslide area, far from residential areas and near the Ngan Sau River, the recovery will face many difficulties.
Previously, as reported, at 2:00 a.m. on October 30, due to the impact of heavy rain, at Km 354+900 - Km 355+750 on the North-South railway line in the Hoa Duyet - Yen Due section, through Lien Chau village, Duc Lien commune, Vu Quang district, a serious landslide occurred.
The landslide caused hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rock on the railway track, about 50 meters long, to slide down, creating a frog-like mouth several meters wide. In some other locations, trees from the mountain slid down, flooding the railway, forcing trains passing through there to stop and wait.
