To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board organized a special exhibition on Golden Lives and Iron Hearts, with 3 contents: Historical Milestones, Steadfast Courage, Unfading Memories .

Part 1 Historical milestones, introducing the history of the Vietnam People's Army from the early days of its establishment, associated with each historical moment, with changes in its name. Regardless of its name, the Vietnam People's Army is always an army "born from the people, fighting for the people". Part 2 , Steadfastness, introduces 9 generals with talent, virtue, and contributions to the victory of the national liberation struggle: General Vo Nguyen Giap (1911-2013), General Nguyen Chi Thanh (1914-1967), General Van Tien Dung (1917-2002), Senior Lieutenant General Dinh Duc Thien (1914-1987), Senior Lieutenant General Song Hao (1917-2004), Lieutenant General Vuong Thua Vu (1910-1980), Lieutenant General Vu Xuan Chiem (1923-2012), Major General Tran Tu Binh (1907-1967), Major General Huynh Dac Huong (born in 1920). Part 3 , Unfading Memories, is a document about the hearts and feelings of the generals towards their teammates, comrades, homeland, and family.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Vo Dien Bien, son of General Vo Nguyen Giap, said that the images introduced are all special documents.

"When displayed at Hoa Lo Prison Relic, these documents and images have more meaning, reminding us of the contributions and sacrifices of the generals and showing gratitude for the great contributions of thousands of loyal revolutionary soldiers," said Mr. Vo Dien Bien.

The exhibition runs until February 28, 2025 at Hoa Lo Prison Relic.
