On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), on April 24, the War Remnants Museum opened a special exhibition "From the Paris Agreement to the Great Victory of Spring 1975."
With 140 artifacts, images, and documents, the thematic exhibition "From the Paris Agreement to the Great Victory of Spring 1975" focuses on introducing the nation's arduous but heroic journey from the implementation of the Paris Agreement in 1973 to the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

The special topic consists of three main parts: "Paris Agreement on ending the war," "Restoring peace in Vietnam and the great victory of Spring 1975" and "Peace" to bring to the public a realistic and vivid view of the resilient struggle of the Vietnamese army and people on the diplomatic, political and military fronts.
The exhibition depicts the happiness of the entire people when the South was liberated, the country was reunited, and the people lived in peace.
In addition to images, documents, and exhibits, the public will experience a model of tank number 390 that crashed through the gate of the Independence Palace, marking an important historical milestone, liberating the South and unifying the country of the Vietnamese army and people on the historic day of April 30, 1975.
Deputy Director in charge of managing and operating the War Remnants Museum Lam Ngo Hoang Anh said that in addition to the content recreating the resistance period, the exhibition also introduces to the public the 50-year journey of Ho Chi Minh City (1975-2025).
Today, the City has made important strides on the path of innovation, development and integration, worthy of the honor of being named after President Ho Chi Minh, a civilized, modern, affectionate, dynamic and creative City.
With new features and diversity in display forms, the War Remnants Museum hopes to bring interesting and meaningful experiences to visitors, carrying a message of solidarity and love.

Through the exhibition, the public, especially the young generation, will have a deeper understanding of the nation's history, thereby becoming more proud and appreciating the value of peace.
Visiting the exhibition area, Dang Mai Kieu Linh, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, said that the images and documents... made her feel like she was "reliving" an important historical moment, making her more proud of her nation.
I hope there will be more meaningful topics to have more access to the history of our country.
On this occasion, the War Remnants Museum received artifacts donated by the family of Lawyer Ngo Ba Thanh.
The exhibition is open to the public until August 2025./.
