(NLDO) – The price of SJC gold bars and gold rings continuously increased in the morning of March 19 and officially reached the 100 million VND/tael mark at noon of the same day.

At noon on March 19, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings continued to be pushed up to a new high by SJC, PNJ, DOJI enterprises, 97.9 million VND/tael for buying and 99.4 million VND/tael for selling - an increase of 800,000 VND/tael compared to early morning. In the past 24 hours, the price of SJC gold bars has increased by a total of 2.5 million VND/tael.

Also for 24K gold bars, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company listed the price of Rong Thang Long gold at 98.45 million VND/tael for buying, 100 million VND/tael for selling - 600,000 VND higher than SJC gold bars, officially reaching an unprecedented high in history.

The difference between buying and selling prices is only 1.6 million VND/tael.

Not only gold bars, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds also reached a historical peak. 99.99 plain gold rings were bought by SJC Company at 97.8 million VND/tael, sold at 99.3 million VND/tael – an increase of nearly 3 million VND/tael compared to yesterday morning.

Domestic gold prices increased as world prices continuously reached new peaks following world prices. In the international market, gold prices at 11:50 a.m. were trading at 3,037 USD/ounce, a sharp increase of about 30 USD/ounce compared to the previous session.

Speaking to a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Huynh Trung Khanh, senior advisor to the World Gold Council (WGC) in Vietnam, said factors such as the US's tariff policy and the ongoing tensions between trade partners are pushing up gold prices.

The latest information from analysts is that the upcoming US Federal Reserve (FED) policy meeting will likely see the FED cut interest rates due to concerns about the US economic recession and the devaluation of the USD, causing gold prices to continue to rise. Gold prices are forecast to reach $3,100/ounce this year.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 94.2 million VND/tael.
