According to information from the leaders of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, because the Vietnamese sports delegation only has the Olympic team going to Hangzhou (China), according to the invitation from the 19th ASIAD Organizing Committee, a representative will be sent to attend the torch relay ceremony and the person sent to participate is expected to be assistant coach Le Tan Tai.

According to the schedule, on September 20, the "big army" of the Vietnamese sports delegation will officially depart for Hangzhou (China) to attend the 19th ASIAD. At this ASIAD, the Vietnamese sports delegation will participate with 504 members, including 337 athletes with the target of winning from 2 to 5 gold medals.
The flag-raising ceremony for the Vietnamese sports delegation will take place at 10:25 a.m. on September 22 at the Athletes' Village Square with 50 participants. The opening ceremony will take place on the evening of September 23 with no limit on the number of participating delegations. The two flag-bearers for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the opening ceremony of the 19th ASIAD are swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang and taekwondo fighter Bac Thi Khiem.
