On January 18 at 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Nguyen Hoang Ton - Lac Long Quan (Tay Ho district, Hanoi), a light technology show with 2,025 drones combined with an orchestra was held.
On the morning of January 15, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Hanoi People's Committee and Tay Ho District People's Committee announced the program "Light Concert - Welcome New Year 2025" taking place at 8:00 p.m. on January 18.
This is the opening event of the Hanoi International Light Festival 2025. The program is open to the public, creating conditions for people to enjoy the artistic space to welcome the New Year.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, said that this is the first time that Nhan Dan Newspaper, together with the Hanoi People's Committee, Tay Ho District People's Committee and partners, has implemented a large-scale light concert art program for the capital's audience.
The program "Light Concert - Welcome New Year 2025" spreads a joyful message, solidarity to welcome the new year, aspirations and determination to enter a new era of the nation.
According to Mr. Dang Le Minh Tri, General Director of the program, “Light Concert - Welcome New Year 2025” has the theme Shine Your Vibes, combining light - symphony orchestra - Drone Lighting Show in the space of West Lake. The 120-minute program is held at the Lac Long Quan-Nguyen Hoang Ton intersection, behind is West Lake - a special heritage of Hanoi.
The highlight of the “Light Concert - Welcome New Year 2025” is the light show from 2,025 drone lights combined with symphony music. Each drone is elaborately programmed to paint unique images, telling stories about the thousand-year history and cultural heritage of the capital.
The concert brings together Vietnam's leading artists, representing the fusion of tradition and modernity such as People's Artist Thanh Hoa, singer My Tam, Rapper Big Daddy, Ha Le, Do Hoang Hiep, Emily (Nguyen Huong Ly), singer Kieu Anh, Background Band...
The Organizing Committee reserved a fan zone for about 8,000-9,000 people and an outside area to serve about 32,000 spectators.
The security work for the event has been carefully planned. The Organizing Committee has worked with Tay Ho District Police, Hanoi Department of Transport, Hanoi City Police, mobilizing 800 police officers, soldiers and traffic inspectors to carry out traffic flow in the area. 13 parking spots with regulated prices and restrooms and emergency exits have been arranged to ensure security and order for the event.
