On December 18, according to news from Vinh City Police (Nghe An), the unit has just successfully broken up a case of theft and sale of stolen vehicles, seizing 25 motorbikes worth more than 500 million VND and many other valuable assets.
Previously, at around 10:00 a.m. on December 15, the Task Force deployed synchronous professional measures to arrest Tran Thien Nhan (born 2007, residing in Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city), Nguyen Le Van Minh (born 2007, residing in Le Mao ward), Le Nguyen Quang Minh (born 2007, residing in Ha Huy Tap ward), Phan Cong Gia Bao (born 2006, residing in Hung Phuc ward), Vuong Chien Truong (born 2004, residing in Hung Loc commune), N.D.N (born 2008), Tran Viet Hao (born 2007), NVT (born 2008), Nguyen Hong Quan (2008), all residing in Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Loc district and 8 subjects (aged 16-20, all residing in Vinh city) for theft of property.
Evidence of the case
According to the investigation of the police agency, most of this group of young people had dropped out of school, were idle and addicted to games, so they persuaded each other to commit acts of theft and sell them for money. They met each other through social networks and took advantage of people's negligence, security guards in managing and looking after motorbikes to commit acts of breaking locks, stealing motorbikes and dispersing and consuming assets, taking money to spend.
Using the above tricks, from December 5, 2024 to the time of arrest, the subjects committed 16 motorbike thefts in Vinh city and Ha Tinh province, stealing 25 motorbikes worth more than 500 million VND.
To date, Vinh City Police (Nghe An) have recovered 25 motorbikes and returned them to the victims. At the same time, they are continuing to investigate and expand the case.
